Looking for a hands-on Microsoft Data Analytical Solution Specialist (SQL Server, Azure Data Products, Power Platform and Power BI) to assist with designing, developing, and/or supporting business-focused solutions which addresses various SG&R business needs. Also, act as a “Developer Specialist” who will be involved in one or more ad hoc projects that may include developing and implementing data models,
business intelligence / reporting solutions using a suite of Microsoft provided tools such as SQL Server, Microsoft Azure SQL, and Microsoft Azure Analytics Platforms/tools, SharePoint, PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate
Job responsibilities
 Business Intelligence Development: Provide a wide variety of hands-on support that may include performing one or more of the following activities:
o Data modeling and data analysis including relational, dimensional, and tabular data on a Microsoft-based data and analytical platform
o Support SG&R Data Governance, Metadata Management and Data Quality Management processes enablement
o Develop/Support custom data integrations/APIs with other applications such as ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, MS Purview
o Enable automation using low code platforms (PowerApps, PowerBI), Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related tooling
o Design and develop various dashboards / Business Intelligence reports using PowerBI and integrate them within SharePoint
o Develop and execute DAX queries and data modeling tasks in Power BI
 Self-Service Semantic Layer: Responsible for designing and build out of Self-Service Semantic-Layer leveraging SG&R data warehouse in SQL Server or Azure Cloud-Based SQL Platform that will support various SG&R business
 Risk Profiling Datawarehouse: Partner with ISD and SG&R Metrics and Analytics Team to implement a ON-PREM or CLOUD-BASED Datawarehouse for Risk Profiling
 Program/Process Management: Support adoption and implementation of Agile Practices and automation of baseline processes, where applicable

Required Experience
At least 5 years of hands-on solutioning experience and developer skills in one or more domain/product areas as described below:

Data Definition and Manipulation (Business Intelligence)
 Experience in relational modeling, data warehousing, data scrubbing, and manipulation techniques
 Hands-on SQL skills with strong discipline in following SQL coding styles which improves code supportability
 Advanced experience in tuning SQL query performance, identifying the need and creation of SQL indexes
 Understanding of various data formats (E.g., XML, JSON) is a must Microsoft Office/Power Platforms Products
 Demonstrated project experience developing solutions using one or more tools from the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate / Flow, Power BI)
 Hands of experience in Power BI and DAX scripting language required
 Experience in developing Office solutions leveraging native office integrations and inter-operability capabilities

Microsoft Azure Data Platforms/Products
 Experiences and knowledge in building data solutions using one or more Microsoft Azure Data Platform and Products

Preferred Skills
 Strong Microsoft Data Products and Platforms Skills (both on-prem and cloud-based products)
 Experiences building solution in Azure Platform using Azure Data Products
 Knowledge in at least one scripting language (R, Python, SAS JMP, VBA) is a plus
 Experience in building custom data integrations/APIs with other applications such as ServiceNow, PeopleSoft and use of tools like Splunk
 Experience in implementing Data Quality Controls and understanding of Data Governance Concepts is a plus
 Strong understanding of Agile approaches and practices
 Willingness to learn new technologies/tools and passion for a career in technology field
 Excellent customer service and communication skills
 Delivery focused team player with an Agile mindset
 Strong sense of ownership and business accountability
 Working experience in a project-based/consulting type work environment is a plus
