Payroll Specialist
Job Summary: This position participates directly in the processing of payroll and related support for all employees including phone support, direct email support, and other workflow processing systems. This position also participates in the reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
Administer and process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
Work closely with accounting team to ensure proper coding of payroll expenses in the general ledger.
Maintain processing task list and processing documentation according to department standards.
Provide support and coverage for other team members when needed.
Continuously monitor daily duties for efficiency.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years previous multi-state payroll processing experience required.
Knowledge of manual payroll reporting.
Strong data entry experience required.
Garnishment administration knowledge desired.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required and ability to multi-task.
Flexibility to work beyond established Mon-Fri schedule as needed – occasional weekend work may be required.
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular).
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
