Job Summary:
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible to works on the engines and machinery that power a fleet, keeping businesses operating with minimal interruption.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
Repairing and maintaining all equipment, both rented and owned
Inputting equipment repairs via work orders and related web-based software tools
Being a leader in terms of safety, work ethic and the ability to communicate effectively with field employees including supervision levels
Servicing of equipment on various job sites
Troubleshooting equipment problems independently on out-of-town job site
Following and upholding all required safety rules and regulations
Recognizing and correcting safety hazards
Diagnose and make repairs in regard to welding and cutting
Will maintain good housekeeping with the ability to keep company records and complete work orders on equipment in timely manner
Overnight travel on occasion
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
High level of understanding within diesel, hydraulics, and electrical related applications
Ability to work with diagrams, schematics, and all related diagnostic work
Valid driver's license with CDL class B/A
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
High school diploma or equivalent GED required
Able to pass background and Drug Screen
Familiar with computers
Have your own tools
