5+ Months W2 Contract

Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:- Process garnishments from all states and provide interrogatories as required.
- Oversee timekeeping practices; prepare documentation and train employees as needed.
- Audit individual employee pay records and reconcile totals by department, location, country, etc.
- Reconcile employee deductions and employer costs to third party payments.
- Understand all aspects of Workday pay cycle to effectively assist with testing end-to-end functionality.
- Prepare verification of employment when requested.
- Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes
- Serve as backup for other payroll team members.
- Verifies compliance with various statutory payroll requirements.
- Ensure direct deposit and tax details are established for employees.
- Manage payroll tickets for US and Canada
- Assist with external audits as assigned.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or another respective field; relevant experience (5+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience processing payroll in medium size or larger organization
- Experience in payroll compliance and or auditing with an entity with federal government contract preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and follow-through
- Attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to work well within tight deadlines
- Collaborative team player; ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Prior experience with Workday, SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, or other ERP
$36.00 - $41.90/hour
