Your New Job

Job Summary:
We are looking for a ISP Level 1 Technician to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
  • Receiving, picking up material for job site and running inventory of current stock material
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
  • Testing newly installed or relocated cables.
  • Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
  • Troubleshooting issues with cable network.
  • Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
  • Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous work experience as a Cable Technician.
  • Previous work experience as forklift operator
  • Warehouse experience in receiving shipments from vendors
  • Ability to install voice and data cabling
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Familiarity with cable color codes.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Provide personal minor hand tools (such as screw drivers, wire cutters, punch down tool, etc.)
  • Clean driving and criminal record and ability to pass DOJ background checks for access into government and school facilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment         
  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 50 to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
  • Must be able to operate or workaround heavy equipment and machinery
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders
  • Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear
