Description
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing contractual agreements, negotiations, and compliance processes. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of critical business relationships, ensuring legal and financial alignment while minimizing risks. This role requires a deep understanding of contract law, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of contracts, including research collaborations, licensing agreements, material transfer agreements, clinical supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, clinical trial agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as legal, clinical development, research, and business development teams, to ensure contract terms align with corporate objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation in accordance with established processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive contract reviews to identify potential legal, financial, and operational risks, proposing strategic solutions to mitigate such risks.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure contract compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legal standards.
  • Lead negotiations with external parties, vendors, and partners to secure favorable terms and conditions that align with company’s interests and goals.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies that strike a balance between the company's objectives and the needs of counterparties.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, finance, and business development, fostering strong communication and collaboration throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Clearly communicate complex contractual concepts to non-legal stakeholders, facilitating a shared understanding of contractual obligations.
  • Continuously assess and optimize contract management processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
  • Integrate innovative technologies and best practices to streamline contract workflows and ensure consistent adherence to established protocols.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders by managing contract-related communications and interactions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.
  • Progressive experience as a Contracts Manager or equivalent role within the biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Thorough understanding of contract law, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements specific to the biotech and oncology sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and management, with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple contracts concurrently.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
