Job Summary: As a Staff Accountant, you will report to the senior accounting manager, work closely with the CFO and be responsible for:
  • Leading the GL accounting and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Providing recommendations to senior management based on your analytical skills.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders through influencing and critical thinking skills.
  • Supporting digital technology and process improvement automation project implementations.

Responsibilities

                GL Accounting
  • Completes month-end close duties accurately and on time, including recording journal entries, performing variance analysis, and supporting the payroll department.
  • Prepares and reviews reconciliations for various accounts and analyzes balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and standard procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve GL, accounts payable, and receivable issues or queries.
  • Assist in internal and financial audits and general ledger preparation.
Financial Analysis and Insight Generation
  • Pull and interpret basic data and reports from business intelligence tools.
  • Coordinate with management and staff to manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Design and build dynamic reports and visualizations that help monitor financial performance relative to strategic goals and objectives.
  • Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
Business Partnership and Collaboration.
  • Propose ideas for improving business processes using digital technologies. Ensure that the implementation of process improvements is carried out effectively.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner and develop strong, collaborative relationships with executive-level business partners and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
 
Skills/Qualifications
 
Essential Preferred
Knowledge and skills
  • MS Office Suite: Extremely proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, experience working with large data sets.
  • Analytics: Critical thinker. Superior analytical and quantitative skills
 
  • SQL, PowerBI, or Microsoft Power Platform knowledge is a plus.
  • BI and ERP: Advanced proficiency with various BI tools and ERP systems.

Education/Experience Requirements
 
Essential Preferred
Educational qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
 
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA.)
Experiences
  • Accounting: 1 to 3 years of accounting work experience
 
  • Financial planning: 1 to 3-plus years of experience in an FP&A or planning role.
  • Applying Planning tools: Experience in the use of financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Essbase.)
  • Data insight generation: Experience conducting quantitative/financial analysis and developing recommendations.
