Role Overview
As the Director of Projects, you will be responsible for overseeing Projects and Construction for multiple plants of six to twenty production lines. 

This role reports to Nexus Circular’s VP of Projects and Construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct Construction Manager and Project Manager by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood. 
  • Building out Nexus existing systems in line with the company culture, philosophy and best practices for construction and project management.
    • Establish construction procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all construction controls, schedules and budgets.
    • Establish project management procedures consistent with best practices.
  • Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure construction procedures are followed.
  • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in construction scope, budget and/or schedule.
  • Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.
  • Leadership and management skills that include fostering teamwork, motivating team members, and resolving conflicts (if any). 

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in any discipline from a four-year college or university
  • At least 15 years’ related experience and/or training, in industry
  • At least 15 years’ experience with direct project oversight on construction related projects where the work was self-performed by your current employer at the time.
  • Management and responsibility for projects over $100 million.
  • Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, P6, Wrike, Teams, and Onedrive.  Other software will be used as well.
  • To be on site at the facility in McDonough, Georgia daily.  A limited amount of remote work is possible, but the expectation should be to be on site.
  • Desirable skills, but not required
    • Professional Engineer License
    • Masters degree
    • PMP certificate

Jodie brings over 30 years of manufacturing leadership experience, having built and led 5 companies as CEO/President and 3 of those companies with an ESG focus.

Most recently, Jodie served as the CEO of GreenMantra Technologies, a privately-held early- stage advanced recycler of waste plastics to specialty waxes. Previously, she was President of Pinova, a PE-backed manufacturer of specialty chemicals from renewable resources.

Currently, she serves on the boards of NanoXplore (TSX) and Bartek Ingredients (PE backed) and is active with The National Association of Corporate Directors and The Women Corporate Directors.

Jodie earned degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and holds an MBA in Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
