Overview of role:
- Managing the engineering procurement activities across the business
- Be responsible for planning and enabling provision of parts through the supply chain and delivery to support the business
- Become part of a multidisciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept to implementation, with focus on procurement activities
- To lead and implement certain projects, especially those related to provision of parts for equipment upgrades

- Lead and provide direction to procurement team
Main Tasks:
- Build relationships with key suppliers and use influence to deliver business needs
- Balancing workload across vendors to maintain a risk-balanced and optimal supply chain
- Assess and propose strategies for improved performance within the supply chain
- Manage risks and issues in the supply chain, escalating key concerns
- Address value for money within supply chain and make decisions on competitive tender
- Respond to project requests and ensure timely delivery of components with the required personnel
- Interacting with and supporting customers throughout an entire project life cycle
- Raise purchase orders
- Place orders within our network of suppliers
- Manage the status of parts delivery dates
- Receiving and kitting of parts for projects
- Following up with suppliers for issues with late deliveries
- Maintain live and accurate procurement information in our Enterprise Resource Planning software system
- Responsibility for project management and implementation of projects that have a strong parts delivery focus
- Update Operations Manager, Accounts, and Financial Controller through weekly status updates
- When required provide support to sales quotations by providing estimates of supply chain costs etc.
Experience:- Experience in delivery of engineering services or products and working with the supply chain essential
- Ability to accurately assess quotations for value for money essential
- Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation, part drawings, 3D model specifications and bills of materials essential
- Ability to write technical documentation e.g., RFQ, POs and quotations to a high standard and in a regulated industry essential
- Demonstrable project management experience essential, training or qualification preferred
- Experience in an equipment engineering and maintenance role in a regulated industry preferred
- Familiarity with motion control, vision systems, instrumentation systems, pneumatics, common actuators, and sensors preferred
- Experience in working to a structured project management system preferred
- Experience of working to an accredited Quality System preferred
Qualifications:
- A Level 7 minimum qualification in an Engineering, Procurement or supply chain related disciplines or equivalent experience
