ACCUPAC IS HIRING A FULL-TIME SCHEDULER FOR THE LAKEWOOD, NJ LOCATION.


Job Summary:


Responsible for On-Time In-Full Delivery of orders to customers.  Provides internal schedules for manufacturing and packaging departments as well as external schedules as needed to customers.  Manages scheduling database via the PlanetTogether scheduling software.  Use PlanetTogether for project planning, what if scenarios, capacity planning and general communication of requirements internally. Provides feedback as needed to Project Management for orders that will not meet the Customer requested due date.  Responsible for the daily maintenance and reconciliation of sales order data in the Accuterm system.  Conducts internal daily tactical meeting to review progress of schedule and host internal meetings as needed to resolve any scheduling issues.  Provides internal communication daily regarding completion of manufactured batches.  Tracks schedule adherence and on time delivery for review and discussion at weekly meeting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintains all base data in the Scheduling software system, including routing, work center and capacity parameters, as well as Sales order file information in the Accuterm System.
  • Use PlanetTogether for all scheduling purposes in order to generate internal schedules in support of On-Time In-Full Delivery and customer commitments.
  • Maintains Accuterm Sales Order File database with new orders received through Project Management as well as by closing orders as they are completed.
  • Maintains schedule information in Accuterm for each order in the two-month planning window by updating appropriate dates as well as maintaining the Manufacturing Schedule in support of the PlanetTogether scheduling system.  In addition, maintains two-month master schedule as well as issues weekly schedules for manufacturing and packaging in support of On-Time In-Full Delivery.
  • Provides feedback as needed to Project Management by the close of the next business day.
  • Coordinates all internal and external customer communication through the internal project manager for that account.
  • Conducts internal daily tactical meeting to review any scheduling issues.
  • Issues Daily Reconciliation Report internally listing all batches that have completed.
  • Responsible to review bulk inventory once a week to ensure that all bulk is being packaged prior to expiration and if not, to either provide a plan to do so or communicate internally the issue.
  • Prepares Schedule Adherence and On-Time In-Full Delivery Data for weekly meetings. Tracks data as needed.
  • Work as needed with Plant Manager.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements of the Job:
  • Leadership skills to drive decision-making and highlight trade-offs. 
  • Computer skills sufficient to operate a PC and interface with a mainframe.
  • Analytical ability sufficient to interpret reports and compile figures.
  • Writing skills sufficient to interpret reports and compile figures.
  • Oral Communications skills sufficient to conduct meetings and small group presentations.
  • Must be able to type, copy, fax and file in binders as well as traditional files.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk on cement floors to all areas of facility.
  • Must be able to push/pull weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel via car between facilities as needed.

  • Education and/or Experience: Must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Must have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and basic knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory control, purchasing pharmaceutical manufacturing and cGMP’s.
