Lead Chem Weigh Technician, Full-Time (WKND A, Day shift)

Accupac is hiring for a Lead Chem Weigh Technician to join our WKND A team at our Souderton PA. Location.                                                                                


Basic Job Functions:
Directs all of the chem weigh employees to accomplish the scheduled activities with adherence to Accupac, Inc. SOP’s, the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practice Guidelines and the customer’s written procedures.  Responsible to ensure the transfer of all materials necessary to maintain manufacturing schedules appropriately. 

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Assure compliance with established Accupac, Inc. SOP’s, the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines and the customer’s written procedures.
  • Develop and maintain an effective department through training and motivation.
  • Coordinate, direct activities and audit the performance of chem weigh personnel to assure that the department meets the manufacturing schedule and complies with customer specifications and procedures.
  • Ensure that all materials needed for manufacturing are on site according to appropriate schedule.
  • Monitor compliance relating to handling of raw materials and equipment usage.
  • Monitor inventory level and initiate procurement of departmental supplies.
  • Audit chem weigh documentation and logbooks.
  • Interact with customers as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements of the Job:
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Able to prepare reports, training records and manuals
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions and percentages).
  • Possess good mechanical aptitude
  • Able to operate a forklift or pallet mover safely. 
  • Possess computer skills sufficient to operate a PC and interface with a mainframe
  • Able to operate standard office equipment
  • Able to perform light clerical functions
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to travel between facilities as needed
  • Able to work extended shifts as dictated by production schedule

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to sustain strenuous activity for a minimum of one hour
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist level.
  • Able to perform repetitive movements
  • Able to push and/or pull 75 to 100 lbs.
  • Possess peripheral and color vision
  • Able to stand and/or walk on cement floors for 90% of the workday.
  • Able to work at heights up to 20 feet
  • Able to sit at a desk for 20% of day
  • Able to carry a container weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to pass PFT test and physical examination.
  • Able to work in dusty environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Yes

Travel:  None

Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED.  Must have chem weigh experience and basic knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory control, and purchasing for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
