Lead Forklift Operator, Full-Time (WKND B, Nights)

Accupac is hiring a full-time Lead Forklift Operator to join our WKND B team at our Souderton, PA location.

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible to maintain effective facility security, safety and housekeeping, coordinate the scheduling of workload, supervise assigned personnel, report productivity data and manpower requirements, maintain accurate material control and inventory.  Responsible to assure that all personnel are working to accomplish duties as outlined in their job descriptions.  Responsible for leading initiatives in support of schedule adherence.


Essential Functions of Warehouse Job:         
 
  • Perform all regular duties of warehouse material handler.
  • Coordinate with management the scheduling and planning of daily workload.
  • Supervise assigned personnel.
  • Maintain effective data link and information transfer.
  • Maintain accurate material inventory.
  • Communicate with assigned personnel to assign duties.
  • Provide security, safety and housekeeping for Schoolhouse facility including opening/closing facility and setting security alarms.
  • Provide periodic status and exception reports on materials received, stored and transferred.
  • Communicate the need for repairs of forklift and material handling equipment.
  • Oversee, approve, maintain, and coordinate training programs related to rules, regulations, cGMP’s and SOP’s applicable related to the warehouse.
  • Train all forklift operators and maintain records using iwarehouse.
  • Communicate with Packaging and Manufacturing to assure all needed transfers to Mainland are completed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.





Minimum Requirements of the Job:
  • Possess computer skills sufficient to operate a PC and interface with a mainframe.
  • Possess analytical ability sufficient to interpret reports.
  • Possess writing skills sufficient to interpret reports.
  • Possess oral communications skills sufficient to conduct meetings and small group                                          presentations
  • Able to type, copy, fax and file in binders as well as traditional files.
  • Able to use current company software for spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
  • Warehouse, transportation, and materials handling experience.
  • Basic mathematical skills sufficient to count and reconcile materials and conduct inventory.
  • Oral communication skills sufficient to give instruction and conduct training
  • Able to read and interpret documentation, instructional signs, and warning placards.
  • Possess experience in trailer loading/unloading and truck dock operations.
  • Able to follow instructions, get along well with others and work in a team environment
  • Able to be conscientious, diligent, and pay attention to details.
  • Able to work effectively with minimum of supervision
  • Able to work different shifts, hours and overtime on short notice
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess basic knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory control, and cGMP's.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel via car between facilities as needed.
  • Able to walk/stand on concrete floors for up to three (3) hours per day and for long distances.
  • Able to sit for 80-90% of the workday.
  • Able to bend/stoop repeatedly.
  • Able to climb step stools and maintain balance.
  • Able to lift/carry items up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to push/pull items up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to hear/execute speech in person and over the telephone.
  • Able to hear phones ring, alarms sound through ambient noise and everyday conversation. 
  • Possess good peripheral vision.


Supervisory Responsibilities:  Requires supervising numerous material handling personnel.

Travel:  May require travel between various Accupac sites.

Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED, College preferred.  Requires experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing cGMP environment. Must have previous experience working in a warehouse. Must have good leadership and management skills. Must be forklift and HazMat certified.
