We are seeking a Temporary Digital Content Associate to assist us in expanding our content for UpEntertainment and its flagship brands, including Up Faith and Family, UPtv, and Aspire. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for uplifting storytelling, exceptional editing abilities, and outstanding written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with majors in journalism and communication.

UP Entertainment, home to UP Faith & Family, UPtv, AspireTV, AspireTV Life and Cine Romántico, is the destination for uplifting entertainment for passionate and diverse audiences across the leading cable, satellite, and streaming platforms. UP Faith & Family is the leading streaming service in uplifting entertainment and includes exclusive access to original productions from the UP Entertainment family of brands. UPtv is the trusted network for adults seeking positive programming with relatable stories about relationships, filled with love and laughter, through exclusive premiere movies, box-office hit films and beloved series. AspireTV is the premier network for Black culture and urban lifestyle programming featuring original productions in food, home and fashion. AspireTV Life is the first free ad supported streaming television (FAST) channel dedicated to sharing the experiences of the multicultural audience through cooking, fashion, travel, design and more. Additionally, UP Entertainment in partnership with PixL Dos, manages and distributes Cine Romántico, a free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel featuring the best of Hollywood TV romance movies in Spanish. UP Entertainment’s award-winning pro-social initiative, “UPlift Someone,” has inspired over 200 million people to uplift others through its social videos and dedicated UPlift Someone Facebook page and website.

  • Onsite activations focused on interview-style content capture to Uplift Someone, UPtv, UPFF and Aspire organic social calendar.
  • One blog post per week per brand for Aspire and UPFF.
  • Contribute monthly content calendars across all brands.
  • Enhanced competitive analysis and actionable suggestions for filling content gaps in our UPFF and Aspire voices, leveraging content formats such as podcasts.
  • Continual creation of content such as articles, video editing, and gifs under the guidance of the brand's social media manager and content coordinator.
  • Assist in the Aspire website content updates.
  • Help manage user-generated content and influencer content, creating a social brand spot with influencer content and another with customer testimonials.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient Microsoft Suite, Canva, WordPress, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Enrollment in a degree program for journalism or broadcast preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Attendance at social events is mandatory for this position. Access to reliable transportation to attend events is required.

This job currently has no certification requirements.

This is a hybrid job role, with a combination of telecommuting workdays and in-office workdays.
