Intern, Lab Services, Analytical, Full-Time
Accupac is looking for a Intern, Lab Services, Analytical to join the team at our Mainland, PA. facility.
Note: Application deadline is April 19, 2024.
Basic Job Functions:
All job functions will be performed under supervision. The Intern will perform activities that are necessary to maintain and operate chemical analysis in the laboratory during assigned shists. An ideal candidate will be responsible to carry out technical tasks and support lab operations by performing routine and non-routine chemical analysis of raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods.
Essential Functions of the Job:- Maintain cGMP and GDP compliance in the analytical laboratory.
- Understand and maintain lab safety procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of all the analysis by using lab notebooks and by using LIMS.
- Perform in-process, and routine chemical analysis of raw materials, bulk products, finished goods by using approved procedures upon completion of successful training.
- Maintain notebooks, logbooks, and other documentation in accordance with cGMP.
- Sample management of materials, bulks and finished goods.
- Assist in lab housekeeping, organizing lab consumables and glassware.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:- Possess a thorough understanding of laboratory safety requirements and MSDS.
- Possess a general understanding of basic chemical analysis, lab instrumentation, and basic wet chemistry techniques.
- Possess effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Possess fluency in written and spoken English.
- Possess the ability of using computers for word processing and data analysis.
- Familiarity with applications like Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Physical Requirements:- Able to walk/stand on concrete floors up to eight hours each workday.
- Able to hear/execute clear speech, in person and over the telephone.
- Able to bend/stoop repeatedly.
- Able to climb step stools and maintain balance.
- Able to lift/carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Able to push/pull items up to 75 pounds.
- Able to hear phones ring, alarms sound through ambient noise and everyday conversation.
- Possess color vision.

Education and/or Experience:
Chemist intern: The intern must be attending college with 1-2 years of course work in a science degree focused on chemistry.
