Accounts Receivable Associate, Full-Time
Accupac is hiring for a full-time Accounts Receivable Associate to join our Harleysville PA location.
Basic Job Functions:
The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for supporting the finance department with the Accounts Receivable (AR) functions within the organization.
Essential Functions of the Job:- Retrieve and apply cash
- Generate Invoices- verify price and unit of measure.
- Contact project managers and financial analyst for confirmation of pricing
- Match invoices and bills of lading
- Coordinate with shipping personnel to confirm shipment timing, if needed
- Submit invoices to customers for payment; each customer has their own method of receiving invoices; must be comfortable working in various customer web portals; emailing invoices or mailing invoices as needed.
- Follow up on past due accounts
- Coordinate with project managers and sales team for support as needed.
- Must be comfortable collecting payments
- Compile AR Aging, note past dues and send to finance and sales teams for review; high profile due to distribution – must be correct and comfortable explaining what has been done to collect and where support is needed.
- Generate cash projection
- Understand remittance timing by customer and use that to project cash flow for the week
- Post manual deposits
- Process wire payments for foreign exchange payments
- Call in wire payments for the interest, post voucher, and record payment
- Ensure AR is reconciled and conduct month end AR close procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:- Possess 2 years general accounting experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of computers and be capable of learning the use of mainframe and current office software packages.
- Able to present a neat, professional appearance on a consistent basis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possess fluency of the English language.
- Able to maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Possess strong mathematical skills.
Physical Requirements:- Able to operate computer and related peripherals.
- Able to sit for 80-90% of the workday.
- Able to lift and/or carry items up to 15 pounds.
- Able to hear and execute clear speech in person and over the telephone.
- Able to hear telephones ring, alarms sound, etc. through ambient noise and everyday conversation

Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. College degree preferred. Must have 2 years of general accounting experience.
