Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist – LEVEL III QA/QC
99th MEC Fort Dix-McGuire Joint Base, Lakehurst, NJ

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician III QAQC.
8 to 12 years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance. Has expert knowledge of schematics and repairs, safety testing, and preventive maintenance (PM). Maintains records, writes reports, and coordinates outside repairs. Has expert knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and types of equipment. Adept at learning on the job as well as teaching and mentoring others. Optionally has developed mastery to the level that they can mentor other mentors. Considered a "Subject Matter Expert" on high-acuity clinical devices and systems in specialized acute care areas. Can successfully solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints. Has a working knowledge of project management terms and methods. Consistently Maintains Quality Control by implementing standards for continuous improvements/assurance.
Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.

Salary: 

BMET III QA/QC

  • $ 34.62 - $ 44.71 per hour
  • $72,000.00 - $ 93,000.00 Annualized

Qualifications:
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.

As a minimum, BMETs shall be graduates of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course. (or)
Certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an associate’s degree (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology.
A minimum of two years directly related experience is required.

Work Conditions and Special Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time, the ability to push/pull equipment to and from carts, the ability to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair/maintenance.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
