Sales Account Manager

Accupac is hiring for a full-time Sales Account Manager to join our Harleysville, PA location. 



Basic Job Functions:
To sell contract manufacturing services to major over the counter (OTC) and Personal Care companies throughout the United States. To educate industries on contract manufacturing and packaging services and solutions offered by Accupac, Inc. 

Essential Functions of the Job:

 

  • Maintain and grow current business.
  • Develop, secure, and grow new business.
  • Meet or exceed all Key Performance Indicators.
  • Accountable to each client for the health of the overall relationship.
  • Must ensure that everything from the initial quotation through the shipment of the finished product gets done on time, every time to the satisfaction of both Accupac and the client. 
  • Must compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from retail stores, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, social media, and other sources.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers via email or by phone.
  • Displays or demonstrates services, using samples or presentations.
  • Quotes prices, timelines, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Writes detailed reports of customer visits and other communication.
  • Present current and relevant market data.
  • Works with project managers to keep account activities up to date.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with a variety of contacts including, purchasing, package development, research and development, and marketing.
  • Attends trade shows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements of the Job:
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must consistently present a professional appearance.
  • Need to represent company at external industry functions.
  • Ability to type and use all forms of office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain working and archived files in an organized manner.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain order.
  • Transportation to and from events during and after work hours.
  • Possess experience using personal computers and mainframe operating systems.
  • Possess characteristics of a leader, self-starter, tenacious and results driven.

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for 25% of the workday.
  • Sitting for 75% of the workday.
  • Bending/Stooping repeatedly.
  • Lift/Carry items up to 40 pounds.
  • Pushing/Pulling items up to 40 pounds.
  • Hear/Execute clear speech, in person and over the telephone.
  • Hear phones ring, alarms sound through ambient noise and everyday conversation.
  • Possess peripheral vision.

Travel: Yes

Education and/or Experience: Must have a BA or BS Degree from a college or university. Must have at least 7 years of relevant experience or training. Experience in pharmaceutical sales for a manufacturing company a plus.
