Summary
Individual performs work on specialty areas of configuration management, engineering data, and document management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Directly support one or more Program Managers of Engineering, while being able to work independently.
- Design, develop, and establish configuration and data management processes based on program requirements.
- Ensure the application of DoD CM standards.
- Maintain established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to Configuration Management, and revise SOPs as required over time, for continuous process improvements.
- Identify requirements, and coordinate the development and implementation of electronic data support tools in support of established process.
- Provide training to engineering and functional teams.
- Route documents through workflows, interface with engineering teams on document review, and enforce documentation processes across multiple Navy programs.
- Work with cross-functional teams as part of the engineering change process.
- Analyze and execute change process and status for complex engineering change proposals.
- Review and make recommendations on engineering data and documents.
- Identify Configuration Items (CI) and produce automated baseline reports for multiple Navy programs.
- Configuration Status Accounting to include engineering change status, metrics, and brief preparation.
- Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) and additional external technical reviews as part of the change management process.
- Participate in design reviews, audits, working groups, and CM planning.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgement in representing and/or addressing matters on behalf of the customer.
- Provides creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems in program management and acquisition support activities.
Required Qualifications- CMPIC, CM2, or other CM equivalent certifications.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data mining skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Proficient with 365 Microsoft Applications: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.
- Five (5) years of demonstrated Configuration Management (CM) experience. Examples of experience may include:
- Establishing and maintaining a system for developmental change management to applicable CIs and data reflecting all CIs comprising the developmental items.
- Preparing and maintaining a functional allocated configuration baseline, and description records to provide for configuration identification, change control, status accounting, compatibility, trace-ability, and integrity of developmental configuration items.
- Supporting system requirements development and allocation to product baselines.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools, preferably CMPRO user and database administration experience.
- Experience with Navy IT systems.
- Experience in interfacing with senior military and government civilian leadership.
- Experience with DoD acquisition documentation, including capability development documents (CDD) and capability production documents (CPD), etc.
- SECRET Security Clearance (required)
- Must be able to successfully pass the required drug test.

- Pay Range
- $110,000.00 Annually to $150,000.00 Annually
