Job Summary: We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team. Job Responsibilities:
Supervise all operations to ensure that all Splicing is completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
Ensure that all needed tools and equipment are available for techs to complete their job, working from engineered blueprints and keeping track of production.
Resolve complaints with property owners in assigned areas.
Supervise, train, and develop a team of fiber splicers.
Control/oversee the work of splicing teams and contract resources.
Review Splicing and Testing documentation from the field, identify deficiencies, address them with splicers, and ensure corrections are promptly completed
Approve / Fill-out daily production reports, mark up maps, keep track of work hours, and complete As-builts and Closeout packages.
Verify submitted Daily Production Reports for accuracy and approve recorded production for billing purposes
Reconcile all issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate material and usage counts.
Verify submitted Daily Production Reports for accuracy and approve recorded production for billing purposes.
Perform quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and/or sub-contractors.
Maintain and enforce company, federal, and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll, and overtime guidelines, etc.
Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues.
Performs other duties, as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lead multiple internal / Subcontract resources and have relevant experience.
Provide verifiable evidence of experience in the Telecom/CATV construction field and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field.
Ability to perform any necessary equipment installation: enclosures, Termination panels, and SFPs or XFPs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions which can include but is not limited to extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as wind, rain, snow, sleet, and dust as well as adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog
Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds
Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
Must be able to operate or workaround heavy equipment and machinery
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Ability to work at various job sites as required
Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled
Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
Ability to exercise due diligence to drive safely and to maintain the security of the company vehicle and its contents
Ability to work while wearing PPE’s (safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear)
