Registered Nurse (Contract)

@Orchard LLC has an urgent need for Registered Nurses (RN) to support the Veteran's Affairs Medical Centers (VA) in Aurora, CO. This is a referral Coordination role, working for the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center and is not a role requiring day-to-day in-person patient interaction.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Triage specialty consults for clinical appropriateness & completeness within the National RCI Standards for coordinated care.
• Communicate with veterans on their health care options via phone calls to determine receiving care at VA facility or through the community eligible providers so the veterans can make informed decisions on how/when/where to receive specialty care if they are eligible for CC. 
• Provide clinical knowledge to the veterans and act as a clinical resource to multidisciplinary staff (MDs, LIPs, SW, HAS, etc.) within our VISN19 and outside the VISN. 
• Collaborate with CACs to rebuild/modify consult templates. 
• Serve as a liaison to both internal staff and CC staff during the consultation process. 
• Serve as a liaison to the ordering provider and specialty care services RCI is implemented into. 
• Serve as Delegation of Authority by building trusting relationships with the Specialty providers in the clinics RCI is implemented into based on vetted RCT Specialty Triage Tools with the VA specialty. 

Your background will include the following: 

• Must be a Registered Nurse, having graduated from an approved institution, including state accreditation and the accreditation commission for education in nursing (ACEN), or the commission on collegiate nursing education (CCNE).
• Hold a current license in at least one State or the District of Columbia. 
• Have a current Basic Life Support Certification

This role is a 12-month initial contract on a W2 hourly basis with full benefits. Based on experience and qualifications, the likely hourly rate will range from $40-$45.
