Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive leader responsible for the financial strategy, fiscal integrity, and long-term financial sustainability of the healthcare organization. The CFO oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, reimbursement, revenue cycle, accounting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements. This role serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team, supporting high-quality patient care through sound financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead development of annual operating and capital budgets, long-range financial plans, and forecasts.
- Oversee financial performance monitoring, variance analysis, and service line profitability.
- Direct revenue cycle operations, reimbursement strategy, and payer contract negotiations.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory cost reporting and external audits.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, debt, investments, and capital financing strategies.
- Drive cost containment, financial process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide executive oversight of financial systems, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Lead, develop, and mentor finance, accounting, and revenue cycle teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
- MBA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years as CFO
Other Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, and regulatory compliance.

- Ability to oversee and manage financial budgets and strategic planning
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Primarily day shifts; evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical activity includes sitting (75%), walking (10%), and standing (15%).
