ABOUT THE POSITION
The Production Planner will create and maintain manufacturing schedules for given product line(s), work with sales, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to maintain a production plan. The Production Planner will do capacity planning, set lead times, and maintain all aspects of the facility schedule. The production planner will lead production meetings and daily schedule update meetings to effectively communicate and plan the facility.
Key Deliverables
· Schedule production to ensure optimal production levels.
· Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.
· Manage product line(s) based on customer delivery dates.
· Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials need to cover production demand.
· Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
· Create and maintain all production schedules for product line(s) that fall under your responsibility.
· Plan all work orders, maintain fabrication and assembly workload, and meet customer delivery dates.
· Work with all departments to maintain required information and work to keep everyone informed of schedule additions and changes.
· Reference master schedule to establish production release sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
· Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing requirements.
· Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP system preferred.
· Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
· Willingness and aptitude to implement and improve upon an Oracle Fusion ERP system implementation.
· Continually seek ways to improve processes and workflow to drive positive change.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
· Accomplish department and company mission by achieving set goals.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school preferred or 3 to 5 years of experience as a production planner or master scheduler in a manufacturing environment.
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
· Willingness to utilize lean knowledge tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
· This position will require strong communication skills, along with strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, and ERP system knowledge is preferred.

Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection.
