The Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Intern will support the organization’s efforts to maintain effective governance practices, manage operational and information security risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements. This internship provides hands-on exposure to risk assessments, policy development, compliance monitoring, and audit support activities. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to help identify risks, document controls, and support compliance initiatives while gaining practical experience in GRC frameworks and best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Interviews with DMV team across divisions
- Take Notes from interviews, compile notes and draw interview themes
- Work with clients on feedback
- Assist in documenting and maintaining governance policies, procedures, and standards
- Support risk assessments activities by identifying, tracking, and documenting organizational risks
- Help monitor compliance with internal policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations
- Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews, and evidence collection
- Support maintenance of risk registers, compliance trackers, and control documentation
- Collaborate with IT, Security, legal, and business teams to gather compliance and risk-related information
- Help track remediation efforts and follow up on corrective action plans
- Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and summaries for management review
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements, industry standards, and GRC best practices
- Participate in meetings related to governance, risk, and compliance initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned

The presentation is designed to highlight your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and how your efforts helped drive the project’s success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Law, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of governance, risk, compliance, or cybersecurity concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information responsibly
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a remote environment
