ABOUT THE POSITION
Under general supervision of the Production Manager, the Engineering Tech will be responsible for troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues on multiple models of machines. Doing non-routine tasks to fix different issues on multiple models of machines.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
· Run test on products and equipment to ensure they function properly.
· Provide suggestions for possible ways to improve product and equipment.
· Analyze machine operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
· Work with sketches, marked-up prints, and verbal instructions given by design to prepare engineering drawings for shop use in manufacturing products.
· Check personal work to ensure anticipated problems in manufacturing assembly, installation, and operation are resolved.
· Wear personal protective equipment as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
· Two-year technical degree or a minimum of five (5) years in a manufacturing environment required.
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
· Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects with multiple priorities.
· Must be able to handle sudden changes in project/priority.
· Must have knowledge of engineering systems of symbols and must be able to read a design print and system schematics.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection.
