About This Opportunity

EIT-Zollner is seeking an experienced Information Systems Technician 2 to take on a more advanced role within our IT operations team. With 3+ years of help desk experience, you're ready to expand your technical expertise, lead initiatives, and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot complex IT hardware and software systems across office and manufacturing environments, including PCs, servers, printers, projectors, VOIP phones, and production-connected equipment.
  • Lead network infrastructure maintenance and user account management initiatives, including advanced user provisioning, file sharing architecture, and permissions administration.
  • Provide advanced technical support for office and manufacturing floor systems, with focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and email administration for enterprise systems.
  • Oversee IT security protocols including antivirus management, malware/spyware detection and removal, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Administer and maintain surveillance systems (CCTV/DVR) and related security infrastructure.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to infrastructure projects including office relocations, facility upgrades, and system migrations.
  • Mentor junior IT staff and help desk technicians, providing guidance on best practices and technical solutions.
  • Coordinate offboarding procedures including data backups, access removal, and asset recovery for departing employees.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols for proprietary and sensitive company information.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for employees across all departments, combining technical expertise with excellent communication and customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on help desk or IT support experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred)
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
    • Strong proficiency with TCP/IP and network protocols
    • Demonstrated experience with hardware troubleshooting and software deployment
    • Solid understanding of user account management and access control systems
  • Professional Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with diverse user groups
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Proven initiative and self-directed learning capability
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Physical Requirements: Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs and occasionally using ladders; ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience with enterprise-level systems and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of manufacturing IT systems or production environment support
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and asset management software
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies or cloud services
  • Leadership or mentoring experience in IT environments
  • Occasional travel to other company facilities
