The Customer Service Registrar is responsible for providing customer service and data quality related to registration for events and camps/facilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned

  • Support the 591 Customer Care queue, switchboard and registration jumpline, providing Tier 1 support for general customer care and registration issues. Ensure all interactions are documented appropriately in the customer relationship management software. 
  • Manage event registration for a department: Assist customers with event registration, manage event cancellations and refunds, process back-end event registrations (including financial assistance registrations).
  • Run credit cards and gift cards as needed
  • Work with event managers to process late registrations and collections as needed
  • Manage summer camp registration for a camp
  • Manage customer transfers, cancellations and refunds
  • Assist customers with changes to their registration
  • Manage collections for outstanding camp balances
  • Manage waitlists for sessions
  • Assist customers with their registrations
  • Apply back-end and financial assistance payments
  • Assist customers with facility reservations
  • Work on reports and customer vetting as assigned
  • Serve as back-up registrar for another department

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word).
