Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer
Reports To: Director, Ops Analytics
Employment Status: Full Time, Salary (Exempt)
Primary Location: Boulder, CO
Pay Range: $88,000-$110,000
We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees in the same or similar role.
Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions to support the data-driven decision-making process. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, creating data models, and developing reports and dashboards using BI tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
· Data Analysis and Modeling:
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
o Design and develop data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
o Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different data sources.
· BI Solution Development:
o Develop, test, and deploy BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
o Use BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or others to create interactive and user-friendly reports.
o Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
· ETL Processes:
o Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
o Ensure data is cleansed, transformed, and loaded into data warehouses or BI platforms accurately.
· Data Governance:
o Ensure data governance and security standards are maintained.
o Develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries and user guides.
· Support and Maintenance:
o Provide ongoing support and maintenance for BI solutions.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI solutions and data quality.
o Train end-users on how to effectively use BI tools and reports.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or related roles.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
- Strong experience in SQL and data modeling.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Proficient in SQL, DAX, MDX, or other query languages.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
