Senior Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex, cross-departmental initiatives from conception through successful delivery. You will manage stakeholder relationships, control budgets and risks, and ensure all projects align with organizational objectives and are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex projects through all lifecycle phases: initiation, planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition, schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation
- Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Direct cross-functional project teams, establishing objectives, coordinating work plans, and managing team performance
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and control changes to minimize financial impact
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and constraints
- Communicate project status, expectations, and issues to stakeholders and management
- Facilitate meetings to resolve project issues and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage contract negotiations, administration, and quality assurance
- Ensure compliance with project documentation, schedules, and organizational standards
- Escalate cross-organizational concerns that may impact projects or initiatives
- Allocate resources efficiently and manage personnel assignments to ensure accountability
- Mentor and develop project team members' skills
- Manage multiple large, complex projects simultaneously
- Negotiate with management to resolve issues within timeline and budget constraints
- Contribute to department policies, standards, and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of project management experience managing multiple large, complex projects
- PMP Certification (or equivalent experience managing enterprise-wide projects)
- Advanced knowledge of project lifecycles, project management methodologies, and business requirements analysis
- Proven expertise developing and managing relationships across business units and organizational levels
- Demonstrated experience leading, guiding, and mentoring teams in dynamic environments
- Strong understanding of contracts and their impact on project outcomes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver results and achieve goals and objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- Local candidate required
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of financial services or banking operations
