Duties: Assist in the production of weekly and daily comprehensive reports and other research for clients. Responsible for modeling, note writing, and helping create differentiated research analyses around political, policy, and macroeconomic topics. Work with large fiscal and economic data sets. Utilize Bloomberg and/or FactSet skills, advanced Excel (e.g. pivot tables, conditional formatting), and statistics (e.g. regression analysis). Present complex data in an accessible way through graphics, charts, tables, and written analysis. Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with clients and sales/traders in a time-sensitive environment. Source and process information independently. Participate in the creative process by monitoring market, policy, political, and geopolitical developments and generating ideas for research.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related field and 1 year of experience in a related occupation in sell-side research, focusing on Macro/Strategy, buy-side, an investment banking program, public accounting, consulting firms or related industry. Experience must include: 1) Policy and legal analysis (e.g. summarizing regulatory and legislative text, tracking bills/rules/court dockets); 2) Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, sophisticated charts/tables); 3) Advanced statistics (e.g. regressions, correlations); 4) Bloomberg and/or FactSet; 5) drafting reports featuring accessible discussion of complex policy topics, presenting to large groups.

The compensation for this role is market competitive with a base salary range of $90,000-$130,000. We intend to offer the selected candidate a base salary within this range, based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill set, job-related experience, and location. In addition, we offer an annual discretionary incentive bonus and competitive employee benefits including: medical, dental and vision coverage; life, accident and disability insurance.
