Position Summary: The Assistant General Manager supports all aspects of resort operations including guest and employee satisfaction, reputation management, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.- Assists the general manager with the operational and financial management of the property. Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
- Verifies that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
- Verifies that all team members meet or exceed all brand requirements.
- Acts on guest and resident requests seeking resolution.
- Delivers and leads strong customer service and operational practices. Enforces resort rules and standards.
- Assists RV Resort Manager with administrative duties and tasks.
- Works shifts and supports various departments as needed.
- Assists with the employee life cycle of recruiting, hiring, training, coach, counseling, and mentoring. Supervises employees in the assigned department(s).
- Assists with delivering profitable results and operating within budgeted guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations. Maintains current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
- Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the Resort.
- Meets goals for projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction.
- Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement.
- Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Must have flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours. Works a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
