Buyer III – Supply Chain

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer III to join our Guidewires & Abrasives Division in Ramsey, NJ. This division supports a wide range of industries—from medical device manufacturing to aerospace and precision industrial applications—giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse and technically advanced supply chain.

This position reports directly to the Manager, Supply Chain and plays a key role in ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with production and customer needs.

What You’ll Do

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for assigned commodities and suppliers
• Analyze demand, forecasts, and production schedules to ensure material availability
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance and accountability
• Identify cost savings opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and product lines
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Compensation

Salary Range: $81,903 – $100,331
Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based within a manufacturing environment
• Regular use of computers, ERP systems, and standard office equipment
• May require time on the production floor to support operations and supplier-related activities
• Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing and walking
• May occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
