Job Summary:

 

The Recruiter will play a pivotal role in supporting the broader regional recruiting efforts and strategy under the guidance of the Recruiting Manager. This position is key in assisting with staffing initiatives, workforce development, and onboarding processes to attract top talent across both skilled and entry-level positions. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Recruiting Manager and other members of the Recruiting Shared Service group to execute on recruitment strategies, ensure smooth onboarding, and build talent pipelines through local partnerships.

 

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to): 

  • Support Recruitment Strategy: Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager and Regional Recruiters to understand staffing needs and contribute to the execution of regional recruiting strategies.
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, conducting interviews, managing background checks, and extending offers in compliance with company policies.
  • Sourcing: Create campaigns to find and attract skilled workers, effectively communicate through job boards, text tools and email to convert outreach to applicants. 
  • Offer Management: Draft and deliver offer letters, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies.
  • Candidate Experience: Promote and embody the company’s values, culture, and brand throughout all interactions with candidates. Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies. 
  • Applicant Tracking: Track and maintain applicant data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate and organized records for all recruitment activities.
  • Workforce Development: Partnership Building: Establish and maintain partnerships with local trade schools, community organizations, and state workforce development programs to develop a pipeline of candidates.
    • Event Participation: Represent the company at job fairs, school career days, and community outreach events to promote employment opportunities.
    • Initiative Coordination: Assist in coordinating workforce development initiatives aimed at attracting skilled and entry-level candidates to the organization.
    • Resource Utilization: Stay informed about state and community workforce development resources and provide recommendations on how to leverage these for talent acquisition.
  • Onboarding Support:
    • New Hire Coordination: Support the onboarding process by preparing and coordinating new hire paperwork, including tax documents, benefits enrollment, and other HR-related forms.
    • Orientation Support: Assist in delivering orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, culture, and expectations.
    •  Main Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure a smooth transition 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in HR, staffing, or workforce development preferred.
  • Experience working in a high volume staffing environment.  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience recruiting within the telecommunications or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with workforce development programs and community outreach is a plus.
