Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hard-working individual to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aiding in the maintenance of a heavy industrial machine and fabrication facility. This role involves daily cleaning of shop floors, machinery, and associated work areas to ensure compliance with operational efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain shop floors by removing metal shavings, oil, and other debris using brooms, rakes, and shovels.
- Collect and properly dispose of scrap metal, trash, used rags, and other waste in designated containers.
- Clean machinery and equipment. Remove metal shavings from machinery and wipe down equipment using proper solvents or cleaners.
- Maintain walkways and work areas by ensuring aisles, exits and workstations are clear, organized and free from hazards.
- Assist with machinery maintenance by replenishing lubricants and replacing filters as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have valid Oregon driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push or pull 50-75 lbs.
- Must be able to remain on feet for extended shifts while walking, kneeling, and crouching.
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
- Experience working in machine shops or other manufacturing facilities is preferred.
