Description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and shipping materials to support daily warehouse operations. This position helps maintain inventory accuracy, prepares outgoing shipments, and ensures materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or shortages and report issues to management
  • Label, organize, and put away incoming inventory
  • Enter receipts and inventory transactions into the system
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
  • Create packing slips, labels, and shipping documents
  • Verify orders for accuracy before shipment
  • Load and unload trucks as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through daily transactions
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts
  • Report inventory discrepancies or damaged materials
  • Keep inventory organized and properly stored
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment (certification provided if needed)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse processes
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (NetSuite, JDE, or similar)
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around demand
  • Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements

  • May be required to sit, bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Sit, speak, or listen actively for extended periods
  • Possess full use of both hands to feel or manipulate objects, tools, or controls
  • Perform an extended reach with arms to manipulate objects, tools, or controls
  • Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain
  • May be exposed to various weather conditions, including seasonal hot and cold temperatures

·       Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed
