Become a Key Player as a Contracts Administrator
You will administer and negotiate moderately complex, customer-facing contracts to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and protect commercial interests. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders—sales, operations, legal, and quality—to drive on-time delivery, compliant performance, and profitable outcomes. This role supports contract lifecycle activities including proposals, order management, and claims resolution.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Administer contracts by analyzing performance requirements, delivery schedules, pricing, and terms for compliance and risk
- Prepare and submit proposals and responses to moderately complex RFPs, coordinating inputs across functions
- Negotiate price, terms, deliveries, and contract amendments within scope of responsibility
- Monitor contract financial performance and delivery status; identify need for amendments or extensions
- Serve as point of contact for customers on assigned contracts and participate in customer presentations
- Investigate and resolve claims or complaints, coordinating technical or quality issues as needed
- Support export compliance administration and represent the site/division on export compliance actions
- Use lean principles to develop and implement standard work for contract processes
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
- Typically 2+ years of experience in contract administration or a directly related field
- Knowledge of contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to contract administration and export control
- Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret moderately complex contract terms and conditions
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Effective communication and presentation skills for interactions with customers and management
- Proficiency with standard business applications and specialized in-house or customer systems
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Contract management certification (NCMA, IACCM) preferred
- Experience with aerospace industry regulations or government contracting
- Experience with order management, portal management, and S&OP demand planning
- Experience applying lean principles to administrative processes
Pay Range
$35.07 - $43.00/hour
