Become a Key Player as a Metal Worker

You will assemble, test, and finish moderately complex mechanical products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery expectations. You will support production and quality teams on the shop floor and contribute to lean initiatives to improve productivity. This is an onsite, first-shift role (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Perform assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, protractors, height gage).
  • Review jobs, components, and quantities to ensure readiness for production tasks.
  • Count, size, and prepare tubes for chemical cleaning; buff, haze, or remove discoloration and chemically clean when required.
  • Sleeve, box, and complete paperwork after inspection; apply epoxy tape and install inserts and rivets to brackets.
  • Identify non-conformances from test data and rework as instructed.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
  • Inspect, measure, verify, and approve assemblies and associated paperwork to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Participate in lean/continuous improvement activities and assist in training less experienced team members.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and hand/eye coordination/dexterity.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, inspection measurement equipment, and basic test equipment.
  • Basic math, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply product and process knowledge and participate in continuous improvement and team activities.

Pay Range

$10.00 - 13.05 / hour
