The Market
The First Coast corridor stretches from Jacksonville south through Ponte Vedra, Saint Augustine Beach, and the Saint Johns River basin—one of the most active recreational boating regions in Northeast Florida. The Intracoastal Waterway, Nassau Sound, and Saint Johns River deliver year-round boating volume with a customer base that matches our thriving Tampa Bay market.
Service Area Includes:
- Saint Augustine & Saint Augustine Beach
- Ponte Vedra Beach & Palm Valley
- Jacksonville & Fleming Island
- Amelia Island & Nassau Sound
- Intracoastal Waterway and Saint Johns River corridors
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled outboard service at 50, 100, and 200 hour intervals per Yamaha and Mercury manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Yamaha and Mercury outboard engines
- Perform winterization and spring commissioning services
- Conduct premium detailing services when bundled with mechanical work
- Deliver photo inspection reports to customers following every service call
- Represent the Full Throttle Marine brand with professionalism at every dock
What You Bring
Required
- Current ABYC certification OR Yamaha Marine certification OR Mercury Marine certification (or equivalent factory training)
- Proven hands-on experience with Yamaha and/or Mercury outboard engines
- Own tools and reliable transport to service locations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a customer-first mindset
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred
- Multiple certifications (ABYC + OEM factory certification)
- Experience across a range of outboard horsepower (25HP–400HP)
- Familiarity with marine electronics and GPS/chartplotter systems
- Experience with boat detailing and hull care
- Existing knowledge of the Saint Johns River and Northeast Florida waterways

Certifications Accepted
- ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council)—any current certification
- Yamaha Marine Technician Certification (any level)
- Mercury Marine Service Technician Certification (any level)
- Combination of the above strongly preferred
