This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative storytelling and operational coordination, and who can transform ideas into polished communications while keeping projects moving smoothly behind the scenes. The Coordinator will work closely with staff, lay leaders, volunteers, and partners to strengthen ARJE’s visibility, deepen member connection, and support the organization’s strategic priorities. Through thoughtful communications and meaningful member engagement, this role helps strengthen the visibility, connectivity, and impact of Reform Jewish education professionals across North America.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and manage ARJE’s social media calendar, including coordinating and supporting volunteer and lay leader contributions.

  • Draft, format, and distribute the weekly ARJE Achshav newsletter.

  • Create engaging digital content, including graphics, social media posts, event promotions, and email campaigns.

  • Maintain and update the ARJE website, including building new pages, updating content, improving site navigation and user experience, and coordinating advanced technical needs with external web designers.

  • Proofread and edit organizational communications, articles, announcements, and promotional materials.

  • Ensure communications are visually engaging, accessible, aligned with organizational values, and reflective of principles of racial equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

  • Track and analyze engagement metrics across communication platforms and provide insights to strengthen messaging, outreach, and member engagement.

Member Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general inquiries through the ARJE office email account.

  • Support members by answering questions related to membership, events, resources, and the Info Hub.

  • Maintain and organize member-facing resources, including videos, job postings, conference materials, and schedules.

  • Help foster a welcoming, responsive, and relationship-centered experience for members and partners.

  • Maintain and manage the shared organizational calendar.

  • Ensure events are promoted consistently across communication channels, including social media and newsletters.

  • Partner with lay leaders and volunteers to support event marketing and participant engagement.

  • Help optimize event visibility, accessibility, and participation through thoughtful communications and coordination.

  • Support smooth communication workflows and project follow-through across the organization.

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the CEO and ARJE lay leadership as needed.

Who You Are

You are creative, organized, collaborative, and mission-driven. You enjoy bringing ideas to life through compelling communications and thoughtful digital engagement. You are equally comfortable drafting a newsletter, troubleshooting website updates, coordinating event logistics, or responding warmly to member inquiries.

You thrive in environments where flexibility, initiative, and relationship-building matter, and you take pride in producing polished, high-quality work that strengthens community connection.
