Become a Key Player as a Production Supervisor II
You will lead day-to-day machining operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets, driving continuous improvement across the machine shop. You will manage machinists and operators, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance, and work onsite on first shift (6:00 AM start) in Simi Valley, CA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Oversee daily CNC and manual machining operations across multiple machines and cells.
- Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders to meet on-time delivery and productivity goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental (EHS), and quality standards such as AS9100.
- Manage staffing, training, performance, and development of machinists and operators.
- Maintain process control: setups, tool management, program control, and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Drive continuous improvement using Parker Lean System tools (5S, standard work, visual management, kaizen, SMED).
- Monitor production metrics (OEE, scrap, rework, first-pass yield, cycle time) and implement corrective actions.
- Control inventories (WIP, raw material, tooling, consumables) and support cost-reduction efforts.
- Enforce documentation control for routings, work instructions, drawings, and change management.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- 10+ years in machining operations (CNC and/or manual) working with complex components.
- 3–5+ years in a supervisory role within a machine shop environment.
- Hands-on CNC machine shop experience plus experience managing people in a machine shop.
- Strong blueprint reading and proficiency in CNC operations, setups, troubleshooting, and metrology (CMM, micrometers, height gauges).
- Experience with CAD/CAM (e.g., Mastercam), ERP systems (SAP preferred), and production reporting; SPC familiarity.
- Demonstrated application of Lean/PLS tools (5S, standard work, visual management, kaizen, SMED) and root-cause problem-solving methods (5-Why, fishbone, PDCA).
- Ability to work onsite on shift, stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
- U.S. citizenship required.

- Certifications such as NIMS Machining, Certified Quality Inspector/Technician (CQI/CQT), Lean/Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, or CNC programming credentials.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, and PPAP/APQP.
Pay Range
$100,000 - $110,000/year + Annual bonus ACIP: 10.0%
