Become a Key Player as an Assembler/Tester B
You will accurately and efficiently assemble and test products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery expectations. You will impact production quality and throughput by working directly with the production team, quality, and engineering to follow specifications and maintain calibrated equipment. Onsite in Irvine, CA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform basic assembly and test operations using hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement tools.
- Record test results on data forms and operate basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
- Produce and inspect assemblies to ensure conformity with product and industry standards.
- Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts, mix paint, and clean parts as required.
- Participate in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting productivity/cost-reduction ideas.
- Maintain safety standards and a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area; ensure equipment calibration per schedule.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 0–1 year of general mechanical work experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Proficiency with basic mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and inspection measurement equipment.
- Basic electrical testing experience and ability to record test data.
- Basic mathematical skills and effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
- Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate team-member competencies.
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Experience with lockwiring, subassembly work, or final detailing.
- Prior experience mixing and applying finishing materials (paint, lacquer, glaze).
- Familiarity with calibration schedules and maintaining calibration records.
- Prior participation in lean manufacturing initiatives.
