Mission Critical Partners is seeking a Technology Specialist to support our Facilities and Operations Practice Team. This role is responsible for assisting in the assessment, specification, implementation, and support of public safety communications and operational technologies within 9-1-1 centers, emergency communications centers, and emergency operations facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, experience working with mission-critical public safety technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, architects, and internal project teams. The Technology Specialist will contribute to technology projects by supporting system assessments, technology procurements, technology implementations, and operational improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the assessment, planning, procurement and implementation of public safety software systems
- Conduct onsite surveys and evaluations of existing systems, workflows, and operational environments
- Gather technical and operational data to support system improvement recommendations, cost reduction opportunities, and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with project managers, senior consultants, architects, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Assist in the development of technical specifications, procurement documentation, and implementation plans
- Support technology integration activities involving systems such as:
- Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD)
- Mobile Data System (MDS)
- Records Management System (RMS)
- Jail Management System (JMS)
- Other public safety software systems
- Network and supporting technologies
- Participate in system testing, implementation, migration, and cutover activities
- Provide technical support and coordination during project deployments and facility transitions
- Maintain project documentation, status updates, and technical records
- Support client meetings, presentations, and operational discussions
- Travel to client sites as needed, up to 30–50%
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, Public Safety Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience supporting public safety technology systems, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or mission-critical operations
- Experience with public safety communications environments, including 9-1-1, dispatch, emergency operations, or related technologies
- Experience assisting with technology implementations, system upgrades, or operational support initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead teams
- Ability to develop technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and project coordination
- Ability to analyze operational and technical issues and contribute to solution development
- Working knowledge of public safety technologies, operational workflows, and industry standards preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business technologies
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to client locations and regional offices
