Work From Anywhere in New Mexico (or beyond)

Ready to Practice Law Without the Grind of Billable Hours or a Commute?

Huron Law Group PLLC, an established, and rapidly growing national debt defense law firm, focused on providing cost-effective legal representation to consumers. Our firm is currently seeking a remote, full-time attorney, licensed in the state of New Mexico, to provide representation and limited-scope legal assistance to consumer clients involved in debt collection lawsuits.

What You'll Do as a Debt Defense Attorney

Representing & Defending Clients

Including collection cases initiated by original creditors or debt buyers and, for clients who engage the firm in a narrower capacity, providing limited scope legal assistance.  This would include reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts prepared by the firm's paralegals.  This position will rarely require complex litigation and/or attendance at final hearings, as clients are enrolled in a debt resolution program, and typically desire to settle through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors.  Where in-person attendance at a hearing becomes necessary, local attorneys may be utilized.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

Active license to practice law in the state of New Mexico, in good standing with the State Bar

At least 5-years of prior civil litigation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in high-volume consumer debt defense and/or collections preferred

Starting at $100,000/year - commensurate with experience (annual reviews with raises up to 5%)
