Job Summary
As the Manager, Construction Project Management, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex construction projects from initiation through completion. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within quality expectations. Your customers include data center clients, telecommunications providers, contractors, vendors, and internal Congruex teams, and you will contribute to business success through operational excellence, customer service, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to:)
- Lead project teams, including internal personnel, contractors, and vendors, to successfully deliver construction projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and production goals while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
- Conduct internal and customer meetings to provide project updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Maintain accurate project tracking systems, analyze project performance, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Retrieve, analyze, and report project data to support business intelligence and informed decision-making.
- Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in construction, telecommunications, heavy civil, or related industries.
- Experience managing data center site development and construction projects, including earthworks, grading, utility infrastructure, and telecommunications construction.
- Experience managing Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) projects.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership, organizational, project planning, and customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Visio, Google Earth, and project tracking systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret project data and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of fiber optic networks, carrier services, FTTx, Small Cell, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Construction Management, or a related field.
- PMP Certification.
- Civil construction and/or telecommunications construction experience.
- Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, and customer relationship management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including active construction sites.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and navigate construction sites as needed.
- Ability to travel to project locations and customer meetings as required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, as applicable.
