Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Consultant
US Army Contract
Location: Hybrid : 2-3 days onsite in Indianapolis, IN
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance
@Orchard LLC has an immediate need for a FIAR Consultant with experience in OSW Financial Reporting processes to support the U.S. Army’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness initiatives, which are focused on strengthening financial reporting, audit response, remediation, and sustainment efforts across Army organizations and service providers. This position requires prior experience with GFEBS and an active Secret clearance.
Your responsibilities as a FIAR Consultant:
- Support OSW financial reporting, audit response, and remediation activities.
- Perform reconciliations, data validation, and financial analysis across assigned functional areas.
- Support financial process remediation, reconciliations, and audit documentation (as applicable).
- Analyze large financial datasets and leverage data tools to improve accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with Army priorities and audit requirements
Your background will include:
- Active DOD Secret clearance
- Bachelor (or Master) in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science
- Relevant Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- 4+ years of experience in Federal Financial Management
- 2+ years of experience in Army Financial Reporting experience including Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) and Intra-Governmental Transactions (IGT) eliminations.
- Exposure to GFEBS derivation rules
Base salary is based on qualifications and experience and is expected to be in the range of $75-$92K. Generous benefits, bonus eligibility, and significant professional development support are all available.
