Position Summary

The Business Analyst is a direct extension of the Chief of Staff's execution capacity — helping drive forward the cross-functional projects and operational workstreams that are most critical to the business. For the first ~2 years, the role is expected to be heavily project-management focused: coordinating the product / platform upgrade sequencing, migrating customers from a legacy platform to a modern platform, and standard/custom client implementation support that sit at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and operations. As the role matures, scope is expected to broaden into wider business operations, analytics, and strategic-initiative work.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that regularly interacts with the ELT and requires the judgment to operate independently against ambiguous, fast-moving priorities while producing consistently polished, executive-ready work.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Client Transition Program Management

•     Coordinate core platform version upgrade sequencing across the client base — maintain the upgrade roadmap, flag clients due for migration, and feed status into client-facing QBR preparation.

•     Support the integration and transition plan for customers on an acquired platform to our primary system (ESL) — project plan management, cross-team coordination (tooling access, ticketing hand-off, process documentation), and tracking of outstanding integration items.

•     Support standard and custom client implementation and migration efforts (e.g., legacy framework conversions, custom-to-standard client transitions), including tracking exceptions and escalations.

•     Maintain and proactively update a project tracker the BA is responsible for — reach out to workstream owners to confirm status, dates, and progress.

Business Strategy

•     Support ad-hoc projects for the CEO and ELT to understand & drive strategic business priorities, assess markets, evaluate new product opportunities, analyze leading indicators & data points, inform business strategy, etc.

•     Analyze client and operating data (adoption, retention, leading indicators) to surface insights that inform business priorities.

Strategic Initiative Tracking & Client Support

•     Support in management of a business strategy project tracker — reach out to workstream owners to confirm status, dates, and progress.

•     Support Board of Directors meeting (BODM) preparation — content shells, storyboarding coordination, and templatizing materials after each cycle.

•     Support with planning for key client events & meetings – organize sessions, communications, marketing materials, logistics, etc.

Process Design & Operational Documentation

•     Document current-state and future-state process flows for cross-functional workflows (e.g., release and deployment processes) and build supporting checklists and governance.

•     Support the broader documentation-consolidation effort to build a single, current source of truth for company processes and knowledge.

•     Maintain reference materials (e.g., vendor/system documentation) so they stay current and usable by the broader team.

Data & Reporting Support

•     Pull, analyze, and package client and business data to support sales, customer health, and leadership reporting needs (e.g., identifying upsell opportunities, tracking module adoption).

•     Partner with the Business Ops & Analytics team on ad hoc and standing reporting requests.

Executive Communications

•     Draft executive summaries, decks, and stakeholder communications on behalf of the Chief of Staff.

•     Translate workshop notes and cross-functional discussions into clear decisions, takeaways, and next steps.

Immediate Ramp-Up Priorities (First 90 Days)

Illustrative — reflects current backlog the role would inherit; will evolve based on business need at time of hire:

•     Close out long-running / open follow-ups requiring cross-functional team management & action item tracking & execution.

•     Stand up a working integration project plan for acquired platform to current platform and drive open items to closure.

•     Document current-state deployment/release process and draft a future-state proposal with Engineering and Product stakeholders.

•     Audit and clean up the recurring cross-functional meeting cadence (attendance, ownership, relevance).

Required Qualifications

•     Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•     0-1+ years of professional experience (Business Analyst level); 2+ years, including project management exposure, for consideration at the Senior Business Analyst level.

•     Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; working understanding of basic data analytics concepts.

•     Demonstrated project management ability — proven track record driving multiple concurrent workstreams to completion with minimal oversight.

•     High attention to detail and follow-through; comfortable owning outputs at a polished, executive-ready quality bar.

•     Excellent written and verbal communicator, with the presence and judgment to work directly with, and manage up to, senior leadership.

•     Process-oriented mindset — comfortable creating structure and documentation in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.

•     Self-starter with the ability to think independently, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and drive them to resolution.

•     Based in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work in-office per the schedule above.

•     Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred

•     Prior experience in a management consulting, SaaS, private-equity-backed, or insurance-adjacent business.

•     Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project-tracking tooling.

•     Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude) as a productivity accelerant, while personally owning the quality of any output before it is shared.
