- Maintain and install medical gas and vacuum systems throughout the Health Center; repair blockages in vacuum piping systems and medical air compressors; install manifold valves; and inspect systems for proper operation.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe and tubing according to work order or project specifications.
- Position valves, couplings, and other in-line devices using mechanical techniques.

- Maintain, repair, and install Health Center fire protection systems, including wet and dry pipe systems; replace sprinkler heads, tamper switches, pipes, fittings, and related devices; and maintain, repair, and install main fire and jockey pumps.
- Maintain, install, test, inspect, and repair backflow prevention devices, and maintain accurate inspection and testing records.
