Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Industrial Electrician responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment in industrial manufacturing and chemical environments. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical failures in a complex and diverse range of machinery, motor controls, and power distribution systems (e.g., Variable Frequency Drives - VFDs, Programmable Logic Controllers - PLCs).Setting up new electrical components, conduits, wiring, and machinery, often working from complex blueprints and schematics.
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on systems to prevent costly production downtime.
Effectively maintain records and using computer-based maintenance management systems(CMMS)
Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out
Safely operate industrial trucks and lifts and be able to work at heights with fall protection
Adhering strictly to NEC (National Electrical Code) NFPA 70E (National Fire Protection Association) and safety procedures to prevent hazards in industrial environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Deep understanding of 3-phase power, motors, and automation systems.
Ability to quickly diagnose and fix urgent, complex issues.
Understand the safe workings of at minimum 480vac
Use industry tools and technology such as ammeters, multimeters, meggers and power tools
Capability to work in demanding environments, requiring lifting, climbing, and crawling
Formal Technical training, Trade School, apprenticeship, or valid and current licensure or ample applicable proven work experience and knowledge will be accepted in lieu of education
