We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Technical Recruiter to support the recruitment of engineering and technical professionals for our growing organization in McDonough, GA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing, screening, and hiring engineers and other technical talent across manufacturing, industrial, logistics, automation, or related industries. This role requires strong networking abilities, technical recruiting expertise, and a passion for identifying top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for engineering and technical positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking events, employee referrals, and direct outreach.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone and virtual interviews to assess technical qualifications and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical engineering and technical roles.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate status updates.
- Negotiate offers and assist with onboarding activities when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company hiring policies.
- Analyze recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on hiring progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of technical recruiting experience, with specific experience recruiting engineers.
- Demonstrated success recruiting for positions such as:
- Mechanical Engineers
- Electrical Engineers
- Manufacturing Engineers
- Industrial Engineers
- Automation Engineers
- Controls Engineers
- Process Engineers
- Maintenance & Reliability Engineers
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ATS platforms, and other sourcing tools.
- Strong interviewing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple openings simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting within manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, logistics, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with the metro Atlanta and South Georgia engineering talent market.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or AIRS Recruiter Certification are a plus.
