Description
The Production Manager will supervise all production related activities for the Agency. He/she will serve as a primary liaison between the Client Service team and the various external vendors with whom we deal with in the development and execution of our marketing programs. He/she is expected to create, manage and implement specific elements of each Experiential Program as outlined by Client Service and senior members of the SoHo Staff. He/she will need to provide insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of different options and to provide hindsight on the same for the chosen solution. He/she must maintain and manage all related program timelines and budgets.
Working closely with the Production Team, you will:
Meet with Client Service and Senior Management to be briefed on production related elements necessary for each program and activation
Create timelines that meet the needs of various stakeholders
Provide options to meet the needs of each program
Meet with the appropriate stake holders to recommend and select the best option
Manage external vendors and internal stakeholders to develop the option selected, on time and within budget
Venues
Set fabricators
AV providers
Lighting providers
POS suppliers
Digital providers
Provide written documentation of all meetings, detailing pertinent discussion points and next steps:
Confirm deliverables agreed
Confirm timelines
Confirm budgets
Evaluate the efficacy of solutions provided and make recommendations for future programming
Did the vendor perform to expectations?
Did the product/service provided meet expectations?
Was the vendor punctual
Was the vendor within budget?
Was the vendor’s initial budget estimate accurate or were there additions after the initial agreement
Did the vendor provide proactive solutions to new and existing challenges
Was the vendor able to manage their business without excessive input from SoHo personnel
Write and distribute program overviews to all stakeholders
Source new Field Production Personnel as needed
Tour managers
Assistant tour managers
Service Captains
AV Techs
Etc.
Train appropriate personnel on various production elements of the job
DOT compliance and licensing when necessary
Load in, load out
AV and technical
Day to day program management
Reporting
Provide financial management of all production related elements
Manage all program staff expenses, including T&E
Provide actualization of program budgets within your control
Provide market support in the form of quality control visits
Attend all first events where production needs are heavy
Ensure new staff and new equipment is performing to spec
Ensure load in and load out is completed effectively and safely
Ensure road staff are conducting themselves within the rules of the organization
Ensure road staff remain DOT compliant
Position Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in Production Services role
Ability to prioritize and juggle many tasks
Self-Starter, outgoing, gregarious personality
In depth understanding of production process and deliverables
Adept and interacting with diverse groups of people
Managing and motivating teams of internal and external service providers
Strong written, verbal and public speaking skills
Strong budget management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
CAD and other design capability a plus
