Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to support our Engineering team with capital projects at our manufacturing facility in the Atlanta area and future locations. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong desire to get things done, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with company goals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining focus on overarching project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, planning, and execution of capital projects across the organization, managing day-to-day project execution and oversight.
  • Establish and implement operational metrics and KPIs to track project performance, including costs, forecasting, schedules, productivity, and supplier performance.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, notify appropriate personnel, and implement solutions to minimize schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical) to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Interface with consulting engineering firms and internal teams to enhance project portfolio execution.
  • Provide technical support for schedules, cost estimates, spend tracking, progress monitoring, management updates, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with strategic sourcing and procurement teams to manage the manufacturing, testing, shipping, handling, and delivery of project materials.
  • Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely deliverables, and conflict resolution.
  • Prepare and review technical scope documents, specifications, procedures, reports, feasibility studies, and proposals.
  • Coordinate with Construction Teams to ensure engineering packages are ready for handoff and execution.
  • Liaise with Operations Teams to incorporate plant and process improvements into site development and operational readiness efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering within manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized records while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to create actionable plans for complex engineering challenges.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and drive to achieve results.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain focus on the big picture and project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and seek clarity when needed.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with EPC contracts and interconnection agreements.
  • Experience working with ISCC Plus-certified processes or sustainable technologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced recycling or plastics manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with regulatory, permitting, and technical issues associated with capital projects.

Jodie brings over 30 years of manufacturing leadership experience, having built and led 5 companies as CEO/President and 3 of those companies with an ESG focus.

Most recently, Jodie served as the CEO of GreenMantra Technologies, a privately-held early- stage advanced recycler of waste plastics to specialty waxes. Previously, she was President of Pinova, a PE-backed manufacturer of specialty chemicals from renewable resources.

Currently, she serves on the boards of NanoXplore (TSX) and Bartek Ingredients (PE backed) and is active with The National Association of Corporate Directors and The Women Corporate Directors.

Jodie earned degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and holds an MBA in Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
